On May 5, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the launch of another direction in United24 fundraising. Funds will be collected through the Education and science direction to restore the educational institutions destroyed by the war: schools, lyceums, universities, and so on.
Star Wars actress Ivanna Sakhno, as well as Nobel Prize winners, a group of scientists, Paul Nurse, Edward Moser and May-Britt Moser, became ambassadors of education and science in Ukraine. The first project of the team will be the restoration of a lyceum in the Kyiv region, destroyed by Russia in March 2022 (that is, at the very beginning of a full-scale stink). To implement the project is needed $1.250.000.
Previously, on February 24, 2022, Russia destroyed over 3,000 educational institutions in Ukraine, from kindergartens to universities. Rebuilding these institutions requires $7.8 billion. The total damage to the Russian army in the area of education in Ukraine is tentatively $10.6 billion.
