Non-Compliance with the Geneva Conventions

Cannon bombs opened fire in the Donetsk region

In the Ukrainian Pokrovsk (Donetsk region) Russian fascists used cluster bombs. The use of these weapons is prohibited in the world. Kyiv Info reports that such a projectile launches 10 to 100 small bombs at a time. They can disperse over long distances (several football fields) and explode. Consequences can be complex, from injuries to fatalities. It is obvious that by releasing such weapons, Russians do not think that they can kill civilians.

Let us recall that the Geneva Convention has several instruments. It was first concluded in 1864. The entire world now has four international treaties and three additional protocols establishing international legal standards for humane treatment in times of war. The Convention includes a ban on cluster bombs. But Russia is already ignoring all demands at the beginning of the offensive.
