Norway Sends Additional Military Assistance to Ukraine

On May 18, the Norwegian MoD announced the expansion of participation in the training program for Ukrainian soldiers and the transfer of reactive systems 

Norwegian minister of defence Bjorn Arild Gram addressed a joint conference with British colleague Ben Wallace on Thursday. During the report, Bjorn Gram announced additional military assistance to Kyiv. He first announced that the number of instructors had doubled in a joint training program with Britain. Increased participation of the Norwegian military in training Ukrainian soldiers in operation Interflex. Funding for increased aid is provided through a special fund established by the United Kingdom. Norway will provide the necessary amount to increase military assistance.

"Norway is making a significant contribution to the Fund, and we are contributing to the training of Ukrainian soldiers both here in the UK and in Norway," said Bjorn Arild Gram.

Norway will also provide Ukraine with 3 artillery Arthur radar stations and about 8 MLRS multiple-launch rocket systems. MLRS M270 is capable of destroying objects at a distance of about 80 km.

According to Bjorn Arild Gram, the aid is provided in cooperation with the United Kingdom. The cost of additional military assistance was not disclosed.
