On July 16, 2021, a telephone conversation took place between the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, and the new prime minister of Israel. According to the press service of the Ministry of foreign affairs, the main topic was cooperation between countries in the field of digital technologies and increasing digital literacy.
“Prime minister Naftali Bennett had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, who congratulated the prime minister on his inauguration. Leaders agree to develop and expand cooperation between the two countries with a focus on technology cooperation” as reported by the press service.
According to the Ukrainian National news agency, Naftali Bennett sees Ukraine as a strong partner for the exchange of experience.
“Zelensky invited prime minister Bennett to visit Ukraine on the occasion of the unveiling of a monument in Babyn Yar (Holocaust Memorial Center) in September this year. The prime minister thanked the president of Ukraine and invited him to visit Israel and open the Ukrainian Innovation Center in Jerusalem” said representatives of the press service MFA.
