Outlook of the Airlift Sector of Ukraine

Creation of engines and airplanes for internal use and provision of quality products to the overseas market

In 2019, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, initiated the advancement of a program to boost the aviation sphere. According to the program, raising the aviation sphere to a new level should be completed by 2030.

By 2022, the number of companies capable of developing the industry reached 30. It should be noted that some companies are only able to contribute to production processes to take part in the external and domestic markets as suppliers of components and aggregates.

It is still possible to use the state plant Antonov to solve complex design problems. The main sphere of activity of the plant since 1952 is cargo air transportation, manufacturing, and developing of the legendary aircraft series AN. So that the successful construction of ultra-light aircraft can pass into the hands of the capital Ukrainian company Aeroprakt.

There is also an engine polytechnic college in Ukraine, and the development and production of aircraft propulsion systems belong to Ukrainian companies Progress and Motor Sich.

Ukraine can produce a wide diversity of products. In order to attract potential customers, Ukrainian enterprises are able to produce several types of aircraft: for transporting cargo and passengers. In addition, motor-building companies of Ukraine regularly accept orders for production: they come from their homeland and worldwide. These are orders for the creation of new aircraft. Both the armed forces and private airlines need them.
