PACE Officially Recognized Russian Regime as Terrorist

On October 13, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe almost unanimously adopted a resolution recognizing the Russian regime as a terrorist and called for the creation of an international tribunal

Today, an emergency debate was held in the pass on the topic A new aggravation of the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. As a result of the general discussion, a resolution was adopted, marking the Russian regime as what it is — terrorist. As a result of voting, 99 parliamentarians voted "pro", 1 abstained. This extremely important step can become the basis for the all-European recognition of Russia as a terrorist country.

The adopted document confirms Europe's intention to provide Ukraine with more weapons and air defence capable of protecting the country's population and infrastructure from the air.

The voting participants acknowledged that Russia's presence in the UN Security Council is illegal, and the self-appointed member of the UN, Russia, the "successor" of the USSR, has no legal grounds for being on the Council. Moreover, Russia regularly sabotages important security decisions.

Most importantly, PACE members agreed on the need to create an international tribunal to bring to justice everyone involved in war crimes against Ukraine.

We remind you that the US Congress accepted for consideration the bills on recognizing Russia as a terrorist country and Russia's actions against Ukraine as genocide.
