Parliament of Ukraine passed a law obliging non-resident companies to pay VAT on online services in Ukraine

According to the text of this norm, non-resident companies that provide electronic services to individuals in Ukraine must pay 20% VAT

The Verkhovna Rada supported in the second reading bill No 4184. It envisages the introduction of a mechanism that will oblige global Internet giants that provide their online services in Ukraine to pay taxes (20% VAT) to the budget of Ukraine. 283 people's deputies voted for the bill. After signing by the president, the law will enter into force the day after its publication.
