Petr Pavel stated that he fully supports the creation of a tribunal for all participants in the aggression against Ukraine. He believes that what Russian soldiers do to Ukrainian lands and civilians should be punished. Of course, this requires an investigation and prosecution of all those responsible.
"The investigation of these crimes is important, so I unequivocally support the creation of a tribunal. This is a key step on the path not only to peace but above all to justice," said the head of the Czech state.
Petr Pavel also noted that his statement is connected with the speech of Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the online summit of the leaders of the countries of the Core Group. On May 9, the session was devoted to the creation of a special tribunal to punish Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. 37 member states voted to bring Russia to justice.
Recall that earlier the European Parliament and PACE issued a resolution calling for the creation of a tribunal to punish the Russian Federation for the war in Ukraine.
