Due to fires, the level of PM2.5 particulate matter in the air of the capital is 25.2 times higher than the norm set by the Ministry of health of Ukraine.
Because of this, Kyiv reached the top in the ranking of capitals with a polluted atmosphere, leaving behind Bogota, Jakarta, Lima, Kuwait and Sarajevo. According to the State emergency services of Ukraine, the situation with burning peat deposits is under control, and the fire does not spread to other territories.
