Pelosi, Power and Kerry Attended Ukrainian Pavilion

The USA delegation paid attention to the Ukrainian exposition at the Climate Summit

The Climate summit in Egypt is ongoing. For the first time, Ukraine took part in creating its pavilion, which attracted much attention. Also, the theme chosen by the creators of the pavilion is closely related to what is happening in Ukraine, so one of the country's closest allies, the USA, came to get acquainted with the climatic consequences of the war.

The US House speaker Nancy Pelosi, USAID head Samantha Power, and US president's climate representative John Kerry were impressed by the Ukrainian pavilion. They saw figures related to climatic "injuries" in Ukraine: emission level, burned forests, etc. Guests of the pavilion from the United States also had the opportunity to learn what protected areas are under threat due to the occupation of the Russian Federation.

"The world will hold Russia accountable for the catastrophic losses that Putin's unprovoked aggressive war inflicts on Ukraine's population, cities, and environment," said John Kerry.

He also praised Ukraine's willingness to do everything to slow the world's warming. The US president's climate spokesman John Kerry recalled that Ukraine aims to reduce emissions by 65% by 2030. Nor does the state of war abandon the goal of becoming a "green energy hub" for Europe.

"Such a powerful demonstration of how war (president of Russia, Putin — ed.) destroys Ukrainian agricultural culture, and how they (Ukrainians) use clean energy to end their dependence on fossil fuels," wrote Power on Twitter.

Such reviews say that Ukrainians, not for nothing, for the first time in 27 years, took part in the summit with their pavilion.
