PGZ and Ukraine to Launch Joint Arms Production in Poland

New defense partnership to combine Ukrainian combat experience with Polish manufacturing capabilities

PGZ and Ukraine Plan Joint Arms Production in Poland

The Polish Arms Group (PGZ) is set to deepen its defense partnership with Ukraine by establishing a joint arms production facility in Poland. The initiative was confirmed by Pawel Kowal, head of the Polish parliamentary committee on foreign affairs, during his visit to Kyiv.

According to Kowal, the cooperation will go beyond arms supply, focusing on integrating the combat experience of the Ukrainian military into the design and modernization of equipment. This approach aims to improve both military and dual-use technologies, enhancing the operational effectiveness of future systems.

Strategic Location and Scope of Production

The planned plant will be located in special economic zones in Poland and will operate as a joint venture between PGZ and Ukrainian partners.

The partnership will cover:

  • Military equipment manufacturing

  • Dual-use products

  • Unmanned systems — air, ground, and maritime platforms

  • Solutions for critical infrastructure protection

PGZ has been actively supplying and repairing military equipment for Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion, working closely with Ukrainian defense enterprises.

Significance for the Defense Industry

This joint production initiative will:

  • Strengthen NATO–Ukraine defense cooperation

  • Accelerate the transfer of battlefield-proven technology into manufacturing

  • Enhance regional security by boosting production capacity for advanced systems

  • Support Poland’s role as a key hub for military logistics and innovation in Eastern Europe

For Defense Investors:
The project opens opportunities for cross-border technology partnerships and supply chain integration in the defense sector. With production inside Poland’s special economic zones, the venture benefits from tax incentives, infrastructure support, and secure proximity to the Ukrainian market.
