In the near future, the quality certificates of Ukrainian grain are planned to be digitalized. This step will strengthen Ukraine's position in international markets.
This was announced by the chairman of the State food and consumer service Vladislava Magaletskaya during the Grain Ukraine 2021 conference, which is taking place in Odesa, the agency's website says.
“We are planning to implement a pilot project with the digitalization of phytosanitary certificates. I hope to see the results of this project soon in each of the regions,” said the chairman of the State food and consumer service.
According to Vladislava Magaletskaya, since the beginning of 2021, accompanied by phytosanitary certificates, 16.0 million tons of grain and oilseeds have been exported from Ukraine, of which almost 3.2 million tons — wheat, 0.35 million tons — barley, 12 million tons — corn.
The State food and consumer service play an important role in the efficiency of Ukrainian exports. Its task is to overcome technical barriers to trade and provide government guarantees to comply with the requirements of partner countries.
