Plan in Case of Russia’s Withdrawal From the Grain Agreement

Ukraine will maximise Danube export and will not let Russia starve the world

The Grain agreement between the UN, Turkey and Russia should expire next month. With a high degree of probability, the aggressor country, which uses starvation to death as usual practice against its enemies, will close the grain corridor in the Black sea. In this case, Ukraine is preparing alternative methods of grain export. Great hopes for the Danube shipping.

"We have several strategies: to expand the Danube region's capacity and increase the capacity for transhipment of grain there. The commissioning of additional crossing points and dry ports on the western border with Poland and Romania also continues," first deputy minister of agrarian policy and food Taras Vysotsky.

Today, the Ukrainian budget has allocated 20 billion hryvnias (₴1 = $0.03) to insure bulk carriers, which will continue to deliver grain through a different, alternative route.

Ukraine's plan has been finalised, and our country will continue to be the guarantor of food security in the world.

It is not yet known whether the export price of Ukrainian grain will change. According to Vysotsky, this figure can be expected by the end of August, "when the growing season ends in our hemisphere." It is expected that if there is a deviation from last year's price, it will be insignificant.
