Poland to Help Ukraine to Diversify Sources of Gas Supplies

Poland plans to become independent from Gazprom soon. The country can help Ukraine in this as well, Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki said in an interview with Glavcom resource

"In the near future, we will become completely independent of Gazprom's gas supply. And if there is interest from Ukraine, we are ready to help your country also be independent off. It seems to me that this option has no alternatives because Russia does not have enough gas to sell it through a gas pipeline running through Ukraine if Nord Stream 2 starts operating," Cichocki said.

Nord Stream 2 is a 1234 km long gas pipeline under construction from Russia to Germany through the Baltic Sea.
