Polish Investment and Trade Agency Plans to Open Office in Odessa

Largest Polish delegation since President Duda’s visit explores new opportunities for economic cooperation and post-war recovery

Polish Delegation Brings New Investment Prospects to Odessa

During the Polish-Ukrainian Business Forum in Odessa, Mayor Gennady Trukhanov met with representatives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the Polish government to discuss new investment projects and joint initiatives for the city’s recovery and development.

Andrzej Dycho, Chairman of the Board of PAIH, emphasized that Odessa is becoming a permanent destination for Polish business delegations:

“This is the largest Polish delegation since the visit of Andrzej Duda, then the President of Poland. We are striving to open a foreign office of the Polish Agency here.”

Polish Government Support

The meeting was also attended by Jacek Gotzlowski, Consul General of Poland in Odessa, who confirmed Warsaw’s full support for boosting investment activities in Ukraine.

Mayor Trukhanov backed the initiative to open a foreign grant office of PAIH in Odessa, calling it an important step in strengthening bilateral economic partnerships.

Key Areas of Cooperation

The discussions covered several strategic priorities:

  • Industrial park management – sharing Polish expertise in running industrial clusters

  • Ukrainian-Polish production facilities – launching joint manufacturing projects

  • Infrastructure investment – engaging Polish companies in Odessa’s reconstruction projects

Two priority development zones in Odessa have already been identified, where preferential conditions for investors are planned. These zones are expected to become hubs for sustainable business development, attracting Polish and other international companies.
