Poland Donated 500 “Tesla Powerwall” to Ukraine

Humanitarian aid was sent to support the social and critical infrastructure of deoccupied territories

50 Tesla Powerwall battery systems have already been tested last year. They were used in Ukrainian hospitals to provide rescue operations during the Russian terror over power grids. This year, Poland bought for Ukraine another 508 systems for the formation of an insurance cushion in case of repetition of blackouts in cities of Ukraine. Humanitarian aid has already arrived in Kyiv. From the capital of Ukraine, batteries will be transferred to schools, hospitals, and kindergartens of the state.

"It (batteries – ed.) allows thousands of people in the front-line cities of Donetsk and Mykolaiv regions to call their families and learn news even during power outages due to Russian shelling," minister of digital transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov told about previous year's experience.

Tesla Powerwall can work up to 14 hours during a blackout. Ukraine was also seeking other technological solutions to provide alternative sources of energy. Specialists have already restored more than 90% of the power supply sources destroyed by the Russian Federation.
