Ukraine will work with Finland in the direction of household waste management. In Finland, only 1% of waste goes to landfills, and the vast majority is recycled. This is the result of the work not only of enterprises but also of central and local authorities, as well as the awareness of the country's citizens.
"Finland is a country that demonstrates high standards of environmental waste management. Almost all citizens of this country sort garbage. As a result, 99% of household waste is recycled. This experience will be useful for Ukraine. Thus, a similar process is already underway in communities - in 1725 settlements of our state, a separate collection of household waste has been introduced. But it is necessary to scale this area and implement the useful practices of international partners in the country, "said minister of community and territorial development Oleksiy Chernyshov
Finland is ready to share its experience and help Ukrainian communities implement waste recycling projects.
