Primary dealers are accredited intermediaries (banks, investment, and brokerage companies). The state sold government bonds on the primary market to further finance the needs of the state budget of Ukraine. According to data published by the Ministry of finance of Ukraine, the largest dealers in the primary market are:
- PrivatBank;
- OTP Bank;
- Oschadbank;
- Ukrgasbank;
- Ukreximbank;
- Raiffeisen Bank;
- PUMB;
- Citibank;
- Kredobank;
- Alfa-Bank;
- Bank Pivdenny.
In the secondary market for domestic loan bonds, an investor gets the opportunity to purchase government bonds at retail.
