On April 27, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met a delegation from the British defence staff: the national security adviser Timothy Barrow, chief of the defence staff Anthony Radakin, British PM's assistant for military affairs Jamie Norman, and British ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons.
"I want to ask you to continue to convince partners of the need to provide Ukraine with all the necessary weapons and military equipment," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Zelenskyy's official portal, the parties discussed the military equipment necessary for Ukraine to continue its defence: in particular, military aircraft. The president said the UK could become a leader in the air coalition for the Ukrainian aviation forces.
In July, Vilnius will host a NATO summit, in which Ukraine will also participate this year. The president stressed that he expects a map of actions, clear decisions from partners and guarantees of security for Ukraine from this summit.
