Restarting the Food Factory

In the Mykolaiv region, repair work began at the "Agrofusion plant", destroyed by the Russian occupation

Agrofusion is a group of companies for cultivating and processing tomatoes and food products (tomato paste, sauces, juices). All 3 Agrofusion plants, 32.000 hectares of tomato fields, 10 branches and warehouses with finished products were located in the Mykolaiv region. In February 2022, factories and other property were occupied, shot, and partially destroyed.

"Broken and cut equipment, destroyed buildings, and tens of tons of tomato paste poured onto the sites — this is how the production facilities of the Agrofusion Group of Companies in the Mykolaiv region looked like. All plants during the year of the war received significant damage: in the village of Shevchenkovo, the Northern plant withstood 16 shellings, and the Eastern plant in Snihyrivka was occupied for 9 months. Nothing is known about the state of the South production site in Hola Pristan in the Kherson region," the press service of Agrofusion reports.

After the de-occupation of the region, the management of Agrofusion managed to return to 2 plants and begin restoration work. The cumulative damage at these 2 sites is estimated at several hundred million dollars. Presumably, the plants will restart in August this year and restore exports to 44 countries.
