The Ukrainian service of announcements about goods and services OLX reports that in the southern regions of Ukraine, the situation with the employment of Ukraine has begun to recover. Mykolaiv, Kherson and Odesa regions have started to create offer new jobs, mainly in the field of retail and tourism, as well as for labourers. According to the service, the level of employment is approaching the indicators of 2022: before the pandemic and full-scale war.
In 2020 there were about 10.000 job offers on OLX in these 3 regions. Average salary ≈ $274 per month. In 2021, the "buffer" year between the pandemic and the war, the number of vacancies for labourers increased to almost 14.000, in 2022, it fell to 5.000.
Now, work is mainly offered in regional centres — Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson cities. There is almost no work in the region and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, too. But the salary has risen to almost $1.000.
