On March 24, the IMF agreed to include Ukraine in the extended lending program. On April 3, Ukraine received the first tranche of the total amount of $15.6 billion, and today Austria began the process of reviewing Ukraine's compliance with the requirements for receiving financial support.
The government of Ukraine informs that the prime minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, spoke with Alfred Kammer from the European department of the International Monetary Fund the day before.
"We are working on the creation of an international compensation mechanism to direct the confiscated Russian assets to the reconstruction of Ukraine. We count on the support of the IMF in this direction, as well as further assistance in the consolidation of financial support from partners from around the world," Denys Shmuhal.
As part of the Extended Fund Facility, Ukraine will receive assistance for 4 years.
