Less Bullets — More Chemical Weapons

On 8 June, the occupying forces shelled the ammonia workshop of the chemical plant "Azot"

The Russians continue to bombard the Luрansk region to take control of it. The occupants do not understand or do not want to understand what object is being shelled. Therefore, on June 8, the Russian military twice opened fire on a chemical plant in Severodonetsk, Lugansk region. The workshop with the storage of ammonia was damaged. The production hall at the other end of the facility was also damaged.

"Fortunately, it was without victims. As a result, explosions damaged at least 2 workshops of the chemical enterprise. One of them is the 1-B ammonia production shop. However, emissions of chemical substances into the environment have not yet happened — all fertilizers and chemicals, as the owner of the enterprise assures, were removed from the territory on the second day of the war," said the head of the Luhansk regional military administration Serhii Haidai.

The precautions of the Ukrainian authorities saved several dozen people and territories from chemical poisoning. However, the occupiers had already damaged an ammonia pipeline in the Donetsk region and a nitric acid tank in the Luhansk region.

Despite an unsuccessful terrorist attack on a chemical plant in Severodonetsk, Russian soldiers killed 4 people in one day. The enemy killed 2 women and one man. In addition, on 8 June, a man died of his injuries in hospital after being wounded on 6 June. According to Haidai, in the past 2 days, 6 more residents of Lysychansk, Luhansk region, were injured to varying degrees of severity. 4 of them were immediately hospitalized at the Dnipro regional clinical hospital. The previous shelling killed a woman and seriously injured a child.
