Today the president of Ukraine took part in the meeting of the International Organization of La Francophonie. Zelenskyy addressed the summit participants online and dedicated them to the details of the horror that Ukrainians experience daily, without stopping.
"Today is the 270th day of a full-scale war. More than 4.700 missiles were used by Russia. Hundreds of our cities were simply burned. Thousands of people died. Hundreds of thousands were forcibly deported to Russia. Millions left Ukraine for other countries to escape the war," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
On November 15-16, Russia launched one of its most brutal missile attacks on Ukraine. More than 50% of Ukraine's energy structure has been damaged. More than 20 million Ukrainians live for days without electricity, water, and communications. And no choice. Because we did not choose this war and are forced to defend ourselves.
"For Ukraine, this Tuesday is almost a hundred missile strikes. A hundred different missiles against our cities. Against residential buildings. Against enterprises. Against power plants. Do you know what this missile strike is? It’s more than 20 million people without electricity. Such was the damage to the power system, such was the urgent emergency shutdown. The reactors at 2 of our nuclear power plants also shut down due to missile damage to the energy industry," Zelenskyy.
In early September, Russia used about 3.500 missiles against Ukraine.
