On the night of May 8, a Russian air attack on Kyiv began and lasted for 3 hours. 36 Shaheds were sent against Ukrainian civilians. Each of them was shot down by air defence, but the wreckage of the burning drones hit a residential building, the runway of the Zhuliany airport (IATA: IEV), a fuel tank and a high-pressure gas pipe.
"No one died. 5 people were injured. 2 are in the hospital, one of them underwent surgery, his condition is stable," Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko.
This is the largest attack on the capital. The difference from the other 13 attacks on Kyiv is that this time the Russians did not point weapons at the capital's energy hubs but at civilian infrastructure.
A fire broke out as a result of the fragment of Shahed falling into a 10-ton fuel tank on the outskirts of the city. On the cover of the article, you see the consequences of today's don getting into the apartment of one of the high-rise buildings in Kyiv.
