The Russian army captured the Kherson and Luhansk regions and fell part of the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions under their command. However, the Ukrainian resistance is so strong that the Russian army and its allies are dying even though there are no Ukrainian armed forces yet.
In the past week alone, at least 3 collaborators of the aggressor country have lost their lives in the occupied territories. In the Zaporizhzhia region, the "chief of the police", Andrii Ryzhkov, under the Russian authorities in the town of Mikhailovka, hanged himself. In Berdyansk, also the Zaporizhzhia region, unknown persons blew up the "deputy head of the traffic police of the city" Oleksandr Kolesnikov Also, the main gauleiter Yevhenii Balytskyi left the region. Former people’s deputy Oleksii Kovalov was killed in Gola Pristan, Kherson region. Other collaborators and "Russian rulers" ran away to "heal" from the occupied territories.
On August 31, an explosion was heard in occupied Berdyansk. For unknown reasons, the headquarters of the occupiers, where they were preparing for a pseudo-referendum, exploded.
In Berdyansk, occupiers failed, and the issuance of Russian passports to Ukrainians. 113 thousand people lived in the city before the war, including 88.000. adults. 800 people get Russian passports in Berdyansk for 3 months of the summer. The basic part of which is collaborators. This means that the Russian passport for 3 received less than a per cent of the inhabitants.
