Queen Elizabeth II died on 8 September. She will be buried on 19 September. However, as of September 14, the Russian authorities have not received an invitation to the funeral of the legendary person. The head of state and one guest must come to the funeral from each state that received the invitation.
About 500 officials worldwide are expected to attend the Queen’s funeral. Only three countries were not invited. The Russian Federation will not come to Britain because of the invasion of Ukraine. The president of Belarus was also not invited because of his support for the Russian aggression against the neighbouring state. Myanmar will not attend the funeral due to sanctions imposed after the military coup in 2021. Even Iran, in the form of a state ambassador, has the right to come to say goodbye to the Queen.
