The Ministry of environmental protection and natural resources reports another tragedy for the fauna of Ukraine. As a result of the Russian explosion of the Kakhovka dam, the Red Book newts that lived in the waters of the Dnipro began to be carried out to sea. This species of newt die in salt water. The national natural park Tuzlovsky Limany employees found 149 corpses of these rare newts. Another 55 newts were saved and resettled on various freshwater tributaries in the Danube biosphere reserve.
