Almost 2 weeks after the attack on Ukraine, the Russians seized the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant Energoatom, took the staff hostage, and set up a military base on the territory of the atomic station. Today, July 16, the invaders shelled residential areas of the city of Nikopol with Grads. 12 apartment buildings, a school, and a vocational-technical institution were damaged. Many people were injured, 2 people are still under the rubble. The details were confirmed by the head of the Dnipro military administration, Valentyn Reznychenko.
"As for the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant: the situation there is very tense, and every day it becomes more and more tense. The equipment of the invaders is brought there, including missile systems, from which there are already shelling on the other side of the Dnipro, the territory of Nikopol," the director of Energoatom Petro Kotin.
