The Russian occupiers are preventing the evacuation of thousands of Ukrainians living in eastern Ukraine, says Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky. The issue of evacuation of people from the cities of Volnovakha, Sartana, Talanivka and Bucha is especially acute. According to him, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has already used all possible international instruments to evacuate local residents.
"Russian troops have razed Volnovakha to the ground for the fifth day in a row. There is no water, electricity or gas in the city. People are sitting in the basements. The occupiers do not allow them to be taken out of the green humanitarian corridor, "the Donetsk Regional State Administration said.
On March 1,.346 people were evacuated from the city of Volnovakha in 24 hours, including 100 children and 3 people with disabilities.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as of March 2, Russia had killed more than 2.000 civilian Ukrainians. Another 720 went missing. Most of them are children.
