“Ryanair” Expansion in Ukraine

"Ryanair" named factors for opening new bases with 20 new aircraft in Ukraine within 2-3 years

Analysts of the airline note the prospects for the development of air bases on the territory of Ukraine since a powerful flow of travelers to Central and Eastern Europe comes from here.

Back in September 2021, Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary announced his intention to scale his company to Ukraine. At that time, a subsidiary of the low-cost airline Buzz was considered a presumable tool for the implementation of Ryanair in Ukraine.

“One market that I want to highlight is Ukraine. I think we will become a major investor in Ukraine when the country joins the open sky with Europe,” O’Leary said at the time.

Recall that the Ukraine-EU open skies agreement was signed in October 2021.
