Finnish president Sauli Niinisto arrived in Kyiv today. This is Niinisto's first visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian war. First of all, the Finnish delegation visited evidence of Russian beast nature — the destroyed towns of Borodyanka and Bucha.
"Visited Borodyanka and Bucha. The atrocities committed here must not go unpunished. I remain deeply impressed by the courage and determination of the Ukrainian people, soldiers and civilians alike. It will be remembered for generations to come," Sauli Niinisto.
Next on the president's schedule is a meeting with the head of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The joint meeting has already begun, and we are waiting for the press conference.
"I welcome the president of Finland, Sauli Niinisto, to Ukraine. Ukraine appreciates the support of Finland and the Finnish people. Thank you for this visit!" Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
We remind you that Finland has prepared a lethal aid package for Ukraine worth €400 mln.
