Ukrainian charitable foundation SavED and IT-company EPAM have developed a website that will help to return the children of Ukraine the opportunity to educate, even though the Russian army destroyed more than 3.500 educational institutions throughout Ukraine. The Ukrainian site Saved.Foundation will work as a base for raising funds for the restoration of schools that were destroyed during the war. All remittances will be protected, and volunteers and investors will be able to choose which object to restore and which region they want to help.
Currently, the founders report that about $80 million is needed to open a school in the Chernihiv region. Recall that this region was badly damaged during the Russian invasion in 2022. It is now known that there are at least 3.000 schools in need of restoration throughout the country – they have damage from shelling. But more than 400 schools were completely destroyed by the invaders. Such premises need to carry out construction from the first stages.
The team SavED and IT-company EPAM has already managed to attract $5.5 million for the restoration of educational institutions. Activation of such a site and fundraising will help the country restore access to normal education for children in the territories controlled by Ukraine.
