August 1, 2021 marks the 5th anniversary of the use of Prozorro as mandatory for all government customers. Since then, information on the progress of each procurement has become open to all, and more than 2 million competitive procurements have taken place in the system.
Thanks to business competition in Prozorro bidding, state and municipal authorities and invest.com/investing-in-ukraine/starting-business-in-ukraine/build-an-enterprise/" rel="dofollow">enterprises were able to save ₴190 billion ($7 billion) from the amount they planned to spend on procurement within 5 years. On average, thanks to the purchase of Prozorro for ₴1 million ($37 thousand), customers save ₴100 thousand ($3722), and can direct them to additional needs.
Last 2020, the savings amounted to almost ₴56 billion ($1,5 billion).
In general, the procurement area and the Prozorro system itself are constantly being improved. Thus, starting from 2022, tender committees will be completely eliminated. They will be replaced by the format of work through authorized persons — specialists, for whom procurement will not be an additional burden, but a paid job.
