The whole world saw photos and videos of the crimes of Russian soldiers who killed Ukrainians, robbed their homes, and put stolen goods on the Internet for sale or sent them home via Belarusian mail. But as it turned out, this disgrace of the "second army of the world" was quite justified and not the last.
The American publication The New York Times reported on Russia’s attempt to sell grain to African countries. It should be noted that due to the aggression of Russia in Ukraine, African countries are already feeling a food catastrophe. In arid countries, some cereals do not grow, and even what has been sprouted is dying because of the lack of rainfall.
Therefore, Russia has stolen grain from Ukrainian ports and chosen the most vulnerable buyer. In mid-May, the US sent a warning to 14 countries that Russian cargo ships were leaving ports carrying stolen Ukrainian grain. But Africa doesn’t care because it’s on the verge of starvation.
On June 4, the head of the African Union, president of Senegal Maki Sall was in Russia. The Senegalese politician met with Volodymyr Putin. Politicians tried to negotiate grain supplies.
"This is not a dilemma. Africans do not care where they get their food, and if someone is going to moralize about it, they are wrong. The need for food is so acute that it is not something they need to discuss," explained the situation Kenyan expert International institute for strategic research Horn, Hassan Hannenje.
