This announcement was made by Defense Minister Margarita Robles during the "Ramstein format" meeting, attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Responding to Ukraine’s request for enhanced air defense, Robles stated that the package includes six HAWK launchers, already stationed in Poland, which will be transferred to Ukraine "in the coming weeks."
In addition to air defense, Robles highlighted ongoing efforts from the Spanish defense industry and upcoming military aid projects, reinforcing Spain's commitment to Ukraine's security. She also noted that Spain will increase its participation in the European Union's mission to train Ukrainian soldiers.
This follows Romania’s recent decision to transfer a Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, further bolstering the country's defense capabilities amid the ongoing conflict.
