The only case in which foreign nationals cannot find work in Ukraine is Ukrainian citizenship. These can be seats with political parties, state organizations, and others. In all other cases, a citizen of another country can find official ways of earning a living in Ukraine. First and foremost is the existence of e-residency, which is being actively introduced in the country. According to the state pilot project, foreign entrepreneurs can register their businesses in Ukraine without citizenship. Now e-residency is actively being introduced in the IT industry, forming the country's recognition and helping specialists from different countries get new opportunities.

To work in the company and factories of Ukraine, a visitor will need a work permit. Permits are issued for different periods (from 1 to 3 years) depending on the position and activity of the enterprise. For example:

  • Foreign technicians, high-paying professionals, graduates of the world’s 100 best universities are given a 36-month contract;
  • The contract between economic entities is concluded for a period of up to 36 months;
  • 1 year permit valid for all other employees.

The visitor must provide the relevant authorities with copies of the passport, a statement from the employer seeking the place, a contract of employment certified by the mercenary, and a photo card measuring 3.5x4.5.

Another feature of the work of non-nationals of Ukraine is becoming exceptions. Under the exceptions, some persons do not need a permit. These include foreigners:

  • Permanent residents of Ukraine;
  • Refugees with an official residence permit;
  • Persons requiring temporary protection;
  • Naval and air fleet of Ukraine;
  • Media workers;
  • Emergency rescue workers;
  • Clergy;
  • Employees of foreign missions registered in the territory of the country in accordance with the procedure established by law;
  • Teachers.

Ukraine provides all possibilities for expanding the frontiers of cooperation with foreign experts and is taking all the most modern measures.
