Subsoil and Investments in Ukraine: Kyiv to Host First United by Mining Forum

On September 24, 2025, Kyiv will gather government, business, and global investors to discuss strategic raw materials, sustainability, and long-term partnerships in the mining sector

A Landmark Event for Ukraine’s Resource Economy

On September 24, 2025, Kyiv will host the first international United by Mining Forum — an annual event designed to position Ukraine as a global partner in critical raw materials, energy, construction, and metallurgy.

The forum is organized by the National Association of Mining Industries of Ukraine with the support of the U.S. Embassy’s Commercial Department and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

  • General Partner: Golovynskyi Karʼer LLC

  • Strategic Partner: BGV Group Management

  • Official Partners: NEQSOL Holding, Black Iron

Strategic Context

The forum comes against the backdrop of recently signed Ukraine–US–EU agreements on cooperation in the field of critical raw materials. The event aims to showcase Ukraine’s mineral wealth not just as a source of raw exports, but as a foundation for industrial modernization and international partnerships.

As the organizers note:

“United by Mining is more than an industry forum. It is a platform for forming a new model of cooperation, where Ukraine is not only a supplier of raw materials, but a partner shaping the global market.”

Forum Goals

The mission of the forum is to create a modern partnership model between Ukraine and the world based on trust, sustainability, and shared responsibility.

The key objectives include:

  • Rethinking approaches to Ukraine’s resource development.

  • Modernizing the mining industry with innovation and sustainability.

  • Attracting strategic investors and long-term capital.

  • Improving the regulatory environment for an industrial breakthrough.

The forum will also serve as an entry point for global capital into Ukraine’s critical resource sectors: lithium, titanium, gold, cobalt, graphite, tungsten, manganese, rare earths, steel, cement, natural gas, and oil.

Forum Agenda: Four Key Themes

  1. Ukraine’s Strategic Potential – launching the Reconstruction Fund and strengthening global supply chains.

  2. Sustainable Reconstruction – rebuilding Ukraine in the context of EU integration.

  3. International Partnerships – mechanisms and successful cases in the critical minerals sector.

  4. Defense Hub – synergy between the defense industry and extractive sector for national security.
