Production of mineral fertilizers, coagulants and additives to cement, acid, titanium dioxide and pigments, and other types of chemical products.

Company produces mineral fertilizers, coagulants and additives to cement, acid, titanium dioxide and pigments, and other types of chemical products.

This large energy-chemical complex has an industrial site of 226 ha. The company includes: 11 main workshops, 20 auxiliary workshops, 7 subdivisions of non-industrial group (catering, sanatorium-preventorium, etc.).

Production

Over 64 years of its existence, SUMYKHIMPROM grew to one of the most important chemical industrial associations in the country and one of backbones in Sumy region.

Titanium dioxide and pigment

A large number of different options that are suitable for different tasks and applications (Titanium dioxide sumtitan R-208, R-2071, R-206, R-206, R-2041, R-204).

Iron oxide pigments

Iron Oxide yellow — Fe(OH)O, FeHO2

Used to produce paints and enamels, ceramic, artistic paints, tanning, paper, construction and rubber industries.

Ameliorants For Soils

Is used in chemical industry, non-ferrous industry, electric power industry, agriculture and in sewage water treatment.

Starting from 2003, the Quality Management System (QMS) is engaged at PJSC SUMYKHIMPROM conforming to International Standard ISO 9001 requirements.

The management of PJSC "Sumykhimprom", given the existing risks, assumes responsibility for the implementation of this quality policy through planning, implementation, analysis and continuous improvement of basic and supporting processes, management processes in all departments and at all organizational levels of the enterprise.

Location

Sumy is a city in north-eastern Ukraine, and the capital of Sumy Oblast (region). Sumy is administratively incorporated as a city of oblast significance and does not belong to the raion.

Sumy's climate is a warm-summer humid continental with cold and snowy winters, and hot summers. The seasonal average temperatures are not too cold in winter, not too hot in summer: −6.9 °C (19.6 °F) in January, and 20.3 °C (68.5 °F) in July. The average rainfall totals 513 mm (20 in) per year, with the most in June and July.

Trends show an increase in the fall in precipitation in the coming decades.

In 2017 the plant produced: 40.2 thousand tonnes of titanium dioxide, 120.4 thousand tonnes of mineral fertilizers of various brands, 234.8 thousand tonnes of sulfuric acid, 45.3 thousand tonnes of iron sulfate, 2.2 thousand tonnes of yellow iron oxide pigment.
