Support for Vaccinated Adolescents

The state allocates ₴1000 ($36) to adolescents under 14 who have two doses of COVID-19 vaccine

So far, about 75.000 adolescents have received a full course of vaccination.

“We are constantly improving the vaccination support program in order to make it as useful as possible for all participants, both for business and for citizens. From today, vaccinated Ukrainians over the age of 14 will be able to receive ₴1.000 and buy sports goods, textbooks, stationery, school supplies or pay for a training course. Note that the money for these categories of goods and services can be spent by adult participants in the program in these categories of services or goods. In addition, new banks are joining the program, we currently have 10 partner banks,” said deputy minister of economy of Ukraine Oleksandr Hryban.

The government has expanded the list of business areas in which the money can be used under the program. Now ₴1.000 may be spent on the following categories:

  • Purchase of books in bookstores;
  • Services in the field of culture;
  • Sports competitions, sports halls, etc.;
  • Sporting goods;
  • Passenger traffic in Ukraine;
  • Educational training services;
  • Children's out-of-school circles;
  • Summer or sports children's camp;
  • Stationery and school supplies.

And for pensioners and citizens over the age of 60, ₴1.000 can be spent on medicines in pharmacies.

The official start of the program took place on December 19, 2021. The program will last a year, until December 18, 2022 and will be implemented in several stages.
