Sustainable Business Hub Debuts in Kyiv: A Safe, Always-On Workspace for Ukrainian SMEs

Backed by UNDP & the Government of Japan, the new facility offers power-secure offices, meeting space and investor-ready services under the umbrella of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (UCCI)

Why it matters

  • 15 fully equipped workstations plus a 10-seat meeting room and a 100-person conference hall.

  • Uninterrupted operations: backup power, satellite internet and sheltered zones allow work to continue during blackouts or air-raid alerts.

  • Part of a national network: hubs coming soon to Vinnytsia, Volyn, Odesa and Kharkiv; 88 “Made in Ukraine” business-support offices are already live.

  • Focus on MSMEs: free consulting, grant guidance and matchmaking with Japanese partners help entrepreneurs scale despite wartime challenges.

Voices

“A resilient economy starts with thriving small and medium-sized businesses,”
Tadayoshi Hiraki, Commercial Attaché, Embassy of Japan in Ukraine

“We are committed to expanding an inclusive business environment and recovery model for Ukraine,”
Haoliang Xu, Associate Administrator, UNDP

What’s next

  • 100 support offices nationwide by end-2025 (13 co-funded by UNDP/Japan).

  • Ongoing grant programs under the “Transformational Recovery for the Security of People in Ukraine” initiative.
