Sweden Allocates Over $500 Mln for Renovation of Ukraine

The Ministry of the internal trade of Sweden prepares to sponsor Ukrainian reformation 2023-2027

The press service of the Ministry informed that the relevant document was adopted. Within its framework, Stockholm is ready to cooperate with Kyiv in the sphere of reconstruction of the country after the Russian military aggression and reform. The reforms will strengthen the country's freedom and economic stability. These changes are necessary to accelerate the country's European integration. Sweden will also help develop systems to reduce gas emissions and improve the social sphere and digitalisation. The minister of development cooperation and trade, Yogan Forssell, announced that $584 million would be allocated to the project. That money will be made available during the following 4 years.

"I am proud that today the government can present a new strategy for Ukraine's recovery, Sweden's biggest bilateral strategy ever. Supporting Ukraine is one of our most important priorities, and this strategy is central to this process," said Yogan Forssell.

Recall in June, the Swedish government allocated $32.5 million to Ukraine.
