The Department of public relations and media of the Ministry of economy of Ukraine reports that Sweden is considering insuring the business risks of its citizens exporting to the Ukrainian market. According to the draft budget for the coming year, in cooperation with the Swedish export credit agency, the state can provide insurance guarantees for its entrepreneurs in the amount of SEK 333 million. Obtaining a policy for goods for the development of Ukraine will be valid until 2026 and will help create safe logistics conditions and protect investments in Ukraine.
"More and more ECAs from around the world are getting involved in insuring the risks of their exporters for work in Ukraine. The fact that Sweden will insure against risks in Ukraine from next year is an important signal. This means that the investment insurance market in our state, despite all the security challenges, is starting to work," minister of economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.
Earlier, ECAs from Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Great Britain, and Japan announced insurance of investments in Ukraine. In addition to creating conditions for the safe delivery of goods, ECAs will protect their businessmen from political violence, convertibility and expropriation.
