Sweden’s Contribution to the Rebuild Ukraine

Sweden sent 6 pontoon ferries boats for the Ukrainian services

The press service of the Ministry of community, territory, and infrastructure development of Ukraine reported that Sweden transferred 6 special boats for pontoon ferries to Ukraine. They will be used for the first time by civil services to help restore transport links. Water transport will be sent to the occupied territories. Pontoon ferries can be spread out in length 8 m.

Boats will help to carry out the repair and restoration of bridges quickly. This will facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and push economic activity in the territories liberated from the occupiers.

Since February 24, 2022, 80 temporary crossings have been established in Ukraine. The structures are in the territories of Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions. They became necessary due to the attacks of the Russian Federation on the civilian infrastructure. The assistants were in the provision of ferries and parts for the construction of temporary bridges became the Czech Republic, France, and Norway.
