A few hours ago, a telephone conversation was held between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Xi Jinping. This is the first talks between the leaders during the war.
"I believe that this call, as well as the appointment of Ukraine's ambassador to China, will give a powerful impetus to the development of our bilateral relations," Volodymyr Zelensky.
It is noteworthy that last month the president of China met with Putin in Moscow and called him a "dear friend" but gave in to the insistence of almost all world leaders to call Zelensky only today. We remind you that Xi Jinping has never been to Ukraine, but he proposed a plan to end the war.
Also, today, the ambassador of Ukraine to China was appointed by presidential decree. He became Pavlo Ryabkin, an international lawyer and former minister of strategic industry.
