The Ukrainian joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannya, which is part of the national gas operator Naftogaz, launched a gas well with an average daily capacity of more than 230.000 m³. This is an old deposit, considered exhausted for 45 years.
"The development team of Ukrgazvydobuvannya, applying updated approaches to data interpretation, discovered additional gas reserves in the subsoil," Naftogaz head Oleksii Chernyshov.
Currently, Naftogaz has restarted gas production in this field and plans to drill 5 more wells. The predicted daily potential of this deposit is 1 million m³ of natural gas.
