The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov reported: "Today the document "The Driving Licences Order 2021" comes into force, according to which every citizen of Ukraine who lives in the UK, will be able to exchange his driving license for a similar UK document without examinations! We will soon introduce similar conditions for British drivers in Ukraine".
Within 12 months of moving to Great Britain, a Ukrainian citizen has 12 months to drive with a Ukrainian driving license. At the end of this period, the certificate must be exchanged for a British one.
At this stage, Ukraine is actively working to introduce similar conditions for British citizens in Ukraine.
