Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the president's office, announced this on April 20.
"Today, we took the opportunity of the presidency of the European Energy Community, which Ukraine received in 2022, and formally submitted to this organization a proposal to introduce a ban on the purchase, import, transfer, and transportation of energy products originating, produced or processed in Russia," Mikhailo Podoliak.
On the basis of Ukraine's proposal, the European Energy Community will announce its decision on oil and oil products, coal and other solid fuels, liquefied natural gas, etc.
We would like to note that the EEC is a large-scale international community, which includes 36 countries (including the entire European Union).
"Ukraine has set the EU and countries such as Georgia and Serbia an ambitious but realistic task of ending funding for the punitive machine, the army, the state apparatus, and Russian propaganda - all of which ensure the country's aggressive actions, including the war in Ukraine. Russia must be deprived of resources for war — economically crushed. We will achieve our goal,'' Mykhailo Podoliak.
