The EU Allocates €500 Mln to Ukraine Under the EPF

And an additional €45 million for the European Union Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine

On February 2, the Europe Council website published a statement by Josep Borrell about strengthening assistance to Ukraine in the war for its freedom. We are talking about the 7th package of military assistance worth €500 million as part of the European Peace Facility. This decision reinforces the EU's support for protecting the integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, as well as its people. Thus, the total fund of UPF is €3.6 billion.

"Ukraine should get all the necessary military equipment and training it needs to defend its territory and its people from Russia's war of aggression. They are not just defending their country; they are also defending our common values and the basic principles of international law. Today's new measures send a clear message at a crucial time: we will continue supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes and as long as it is needed," Josep Borrell.

Also, as part of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine, €45 million will be allocated to provide non-lethal equipment to Ukrainian soldiers who have completed EUMAM training. The European Union emphasizes its full support for Ukraine.

"Russia's latest indiscriminate attacks on Ukrainian civilians and civilian infrastructure are additional proof of Russia's complete disrespect for human rights and international law," the Europe Council.
