The EU to Provide Ukraine With €400 Mln

On February 2, the European budget commissioner Johannes Hahn announces a new aid package for Kyiv

February 3, the Ukraine-EU summit will begin in Ukraine. Ursula von der Leyen, European Union high representative Josep Borrell, and members of the European Commission have already arrived in the capital of Ukraine. Even though the summit will start only in 24 hours, politicians have already started discussing the issues of European integration and support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.

Bloomberg reports that the European Union soon announced new financial support, citing the words of Johannes Hahn. The new tranche will be €400 million and will be used to support Ukrainian reforms.

It is also reported that in addition to the fundamental reforms that were planned before the war, representatives of the political, economic, and military associations will propose several other changes. The EU wants to stop all duties and trade protection for Ukrainian imports. Also, Johannes Hahn talks about the halting of financial contributions to the EU programs from Ukraine. The effect of such financial changes is planned to introduce until the end of the financial problems of Ukraine associated with the military attack of the Russian Federation.
